Introduction to Accountant fix up Edition 2006 In 2002, for the first time, the QuickBooks team created a version of QuickBooks software exclusively for accountants. The new accountant-specific product was spurred by the observation that accountants used fix up QuickBooks differently than small business owners. Specifically, the team observed that accountants used QuickBooks to do bookkeeping or perform write-ups for their small business clients. In addition, accountants often used QuickBooks to open fix up their small business clients´ QuickBooks files, so they could review the data and produce financial statements or prepare tax returns. Prior to 2002, using QuickBooks for these accountant-related purposes was frustrating and fix up inefficient. Over the past three years, the QuickBooks team has focused on producing software that adds functionality to aid accountants in performing these tasks more efficiently, whether they are doing write-up or reviewing fix up their clients´ files in preparation for taxes. At the same time, the QuickBooks team has made sure to maintain the small-business user interface and functionality so that accountants only need to learn one fix up product to effectively support all their QuickBooks clients. Today Accountant Edition 2006 has evolved into a full-featured suite of bookkeeping, write-up, and financial reporting tools. Accountants who perform write-up or bookkeeping work fix up can now use the Accountant Edition to do all their tasks, whether their clients use QuickBooks or not. For clients on QuickBooks, Accountant Edition is the only product accountants need to support them. fix up The product is compatible with the whole range of QuickBooks 2006 financial software, including Simple Start, Pro, Premier, and industry-specific editions of Premier. Files can be opened, modified, and sent back to any fix up QuickBooks 2006 edition. (The only Windows desktop products Accountant Edition does not support are the editions of Enterprise Solutions.) In addition, Accountant Edition 2006 contains working versions of QuickBooks 2006 editions - fix up Simple Start, Pro, Premier and Premier industry-specific editions of Premier (Contractor, Nonprofit, Manufacturing/Wholesale, Retail, and Professional Services) . Accountants can use the Toggle feature to switch between these 2006 programs to better support fix up clients on these editions, while learning about the special functionality offered by these products.
